Paint the Town!

If you've ever felt stressed out at the paint store or paint isle and wanted to pull your hair out because all the colors overwhelm you, well, you're not alone! When designing a room, most people don't know where to begin or what to start with.
Choosing the paint color  is a great foundation for setting the tone for the room.

When deciding how I want to decorate a space, I tend to choose pastel and neutral wall colors. It's a great way to add elegance and simplicity to a room. Once you have the wall color you can start adding pops of color with accessories, such as pillows, curtains, rugs and other items that add color to your space. My paint color palette that I like to stay in are blues, lavender, pale pink, pale green, creams, grays and taupe. By sticking with a light color palette you're not choosing anything too harsh and it creates a light  and elegant harmony in the space. You also won't get tired of the  color like you might with an electric blue or hot pink.

So the next time you find yourself stressing over colors at the paint store just go with your gut! Starting with a lighter color and adding pops of color with accessories is a great way to create a visually pleasing room that you will be happy with for years to come!

Below, you can find some images from Pinterest that I find to be inspiring. Hope they inspire you too!

Ciao for now!
